powderfreak
Yeah. But...it is the NAM. Yes. But earlier today folks were saying the meso-models should handle this better than the coarser grid ones like the GFS.

N. OF PIKE
0z nam doesnt seem all that different (at first glance) than the 18z btv wrf (12km) Toaster and gets things goin later for bos/ne mass (pm)
Arnold214
The 12z spc wrf was what i envisioned happening to a large degree (maybe a little too far west). We'll see how that trends in a little while. http://www.emc.ncep.noaa.gov/mmb/mpyle/spcprod/12/nmmwrf.refc_animate_1h.html
Ginx snewx
NAM hi res is like a constant snow globe for a lot of folks, second clipper never shuts it off, then the Arctic front finishes it. That would be cool

BOX may have to reevaluate If the GFS is right. That's advisory NW of 128. Hopefully 00z holds.
40/70 Benchmark
Nickels and dimes this year. No KU means everyone will be relatively close in final totals How many KUs were there in '07-'08, and '08-'09?? How close were we??
N. OF PIKE
Well for ne mass the precip looks like it needs to hit hard by 6-maybe 930 Otherwise i think Methuen to 495 and east looks like BL is cooked by 10am sharp gradient w of there esp over elevated interior 800'+ "N orh hills" look like they could snow all day, hubbdave lookin good to Will 4k nam even show like union ct hanging on to mid 30's ,. 4km shows a sharp elevation component to temps after 8am in sne . W Fitchburg down to n orh and even ri hills much cooler
Ginx snewx
How many KUs were there in '07-'08, and '08-'09?? How close were we?? hope you are up at 5 to read the answer. I want to ask him how he knows no KU? I would assume he is aware of the good possibility blocking develops in Feb. But after his complete early dismissal of the Feb Blizz last year it's probably a good sign for us.
40/70 Benchmark
Remember his "innocuous" post the other day.." Hey guys , what date did we have a T last week, I forgot to log it". Then he puts it down as a half inch. Lol. Gotta make sure we include all dustings I recorded as a T, you pud
40/70 Benchmark
That should have said 1.3 .he records as 1.5..Why not just record it what it is? Because there is no use sweating .1 or .2" with how difficult getting accurate snowfall totals is. Seemed under .5" to me, so I threw up a T spot. I don't round up, I round off.
