CT Rain
Dude that is a 4-6 hr pounder NW of 128 and north of the Pike. Wow, VVs through the roof. Even BOS is close to starting as snow. Even BDL at 12z Saturday is probably snow. Ouch.... that would be a bust.

I mean it's a weak system, dews a low and it will cool at night...it's not like there is a 30kt LLJ screaming in to torch the interior. It will warm just aloft, but bust potential to be sure. It's a tough call because what if it's one of those deals where it doesn't get its act together until it reaches nrn CT? Then it's catpaws for you maybe a coating for Kevin...etc. GFS certainly put you guys on the alert though.

moneypitmike
Hopefully can cash in on enough to cover the ground here. Picked a good day to be heading up to the mid-coast, at least I'll get something there. 32.8/
jamesnichols1989
James has no JUJU, I get rain, if that's JUJU then I don't know what JUJU can do for you, lol. I hope the energy can consolidate further allowing a good coastal storm to develop. NMM develops the offshore low over the Benchmark down to 984mb, its crazy. Just feels like this has a surprise on the positive side here for inland areas especially to the north but even CT too.

I'm guessing the GFS is overdone... but both GFS and NAM spike like 100 j/kg of CAPE in the low levels so that could have some tricks up its sleeve. 40/70 Benchmark
Hopefully he doesn't have to add a chapter into the "Tolland Horrors of Winter" chronicles...behind Dec 20, 2007 norlun, MLK storm 2010, Feb 24, 2013 inverted trough if Ray or ORH gets 4-5" of large aggregate paste and its cat paws or slushy coating in Tolland with 36F sunshine poking out of the clouds in the afternoon. I know he is toast on the season. I'm hoping I tack onto my lead over ORH...been since '08-'09 that I've finished first in the weenie division. moneypitmike
It's easy to get home-bound when working from home. I just left the house for the second time this week to drive my daughter to soccre practices. Still a couple inches of snow on the ground in Shelburne Falls. Low-lands for the win. 32.7/

CoastalWx
To me, precip development is the bigger issue for interior areas like ORH and Ray. Perhaps Kevin too. I don't see how the interior will be that mild...seems like its more precip placement and Development and not boundary layer...especially to start. It may warm over CT. bobbutts
GFS looks the best up here, over .6" QPF SREF mean looks like about .6 as well with snow under 6" so at least that guidance, poor ratios below 10-

I give you the edge though.n I just don't see KGAY running away with anything. if there's no biggies this winter..and all remain close..it's 1 or 2 interior events away from rinsing all the product "straight out his hair"
