BowMeHunter
Wish there was some more certainty on the track of the sfc low. Get a track like the 00z NAM and we get dry slotted and grazed by the deform band.. at least the 12z euro from page one didn't get my hopes up... typical meh pos clipper results here..even in a decent clipper pattern winter they will find a way to suck Kaeperdink here. O well it will be a nice refresher for the snowmobile trails up there.
BowMeHunter
DVN pulls a WWA for the northern counties. Mainly for blowing snow. Wagons north - Bo should be pleased. until he see's the ratios wont be 40:1 fes fluff.
cyclone77
Night and day difference around eastern Iowa/northern IL between the 12z/00z RGEM. Euro has been the most consistent for this area. I always tend to do a Euro/GFS blend. NAM has been too wet here for about every system this season.
Jonger
Well, that about seals it for southern Michigan. The northern Michigan trails should be in good shape for this next weekend, too bad I'll be in the yoop. Oh wait, they get hammered with LES all weekend. Yup...we never looked good with this one to be honest. Several light snowfalls possible with disturbances out of the NW this week...this is EXACTLY why Im happy we kept a glacier base. Yeah, we lost a foot in depth and gained dirty mounds everywhere since a week ago, but all it takes is little light snow and dirty mounds and backyard glacier is transformed into instant winter wonderland. snowstormcanuck
What a troll clipper. Looks like it's on track to nail the GTA and then a sudden sharp left turn at the last second. Where has this 45 degree turn to the NE been the last 5 years as all these clippers have been missing us to the S & W? Never to help, only to hurt. Hey, dont forget...it loses all of its juice after it crosses Lake Michigan too-_-. The notorious "Toronto Snow Dome", continues its reign over the GTA, LOL. It's like the clipper realizes its on a wrong route, one that benefits Toronto, and it turns left instantaneously. What a crap shot.

Geos
Yeah DAB is my call here too. Maybe I can pop the 40" mark. Freezing rain and snow being reported to the west here. HRRR really taking this thing north.
cyclone77
Pouring heavy snow at the moment with large, wet flakes. Not gonna last long, but it looks like a legit snowstorm out there.

hawkeye_wx
Snowwise, this was a total dud for east-central Iowa. All we got was 0.04" of rain. The wind is howling, though. At 8am the CR was reporting wind at 43 gusting to 53. The temperature is still 34.
Baum
Isn't it rare to see snow accumulations south of a clipper track? And any concern warm air drawn north will cause mixed precip in Chicago area? Got my answer.

wisconsinwx
Well, for those slamming the Euro's performance this year, it did pretty well with this system. I'm not going to say it was a good model this winter, but it was not the worst model either. It caught on to the right idea a few days ago and generally didn't waver a lot. It won this model battle.
