usedtobe
As long as I see some flakes flying I'll be happy. It doesn't need to stick. If the euro verified, I think that might be tough to get.

stormtracker
The temp problem is gonna be tough to overcome for us.....even with a gfs like solution or some permutation of it. Nevermind, I'm out

midatlanticweather
A lot of hokey poky going on. But in the Mid Atlantic that's what it's all about!

Bob Chill
has the march 1993 redux shown up yet in the longer range euro? I wasn't here in 93 but if it was really cold and dry for a couple days then yes
mitchnick
euro was wishy-washy with the last decent event up until the end and the Wunderground snow maps only gave me 2"+ on the 12z run that day and I ended up with 5ish so nothing's changed here
mitchnick
18z NAM seems to be taking the GL low to the NNE quicker than probably the GFS which gives the southern vort some identity and space for something (fwiw)

psuhoffman
It's a terrible run for NYC. Low tracks over or slightly west of the city. It's unusual for a low to track like this given h5 setup. I kinda doubt it to be honest.Makes sense to me given where the thermal boundary is. If the storm amps at all its likely to pull it in tighter a bit. Bob Chill
This GFS run will bring some back to the table. Gfs is steady. Euro has been jumpng. Wish the low would pop further south. Good track along the coast for a weak low. Sne will like this run.

WinterWxLuvr
I'd be thrilled if the run verified. So would Wes. I think so too. It's January with cold air pouring in and what looks to be substantial rates. Pretty easy for temps to come in lower than forecast under those conditions. snow.
lol...DCA's biggest total falls in a 3 hour period when the temp drops from 39 to 36....according to wxbell that is 10:1 ratio snow....it might not even be snow

I question why I do this stuff in the first place a lot.more than wxbell's using + signs in their algorithm instead of - signs.
