Bob Chill
one of the worst GFS runs of all time...hardly any rain tomorrow(flood watch??)...0.00 across the board when its cold enough for snow and then towards the end....we get qpf when its too warm for snow I'm tossing the run. Worst model ever until the euro comes out
Bob Chill
Euro has the storm. CALM YOUSELF. It does but the Appalachian mountain torque cannot be denied. Mt mitchell pops the blimp and sinks the ship
Ji
the GFS used to give us fantasy storms.....its even stopped doing that. We cant get a real snowstorm..and we cant even get a fake one on paper. All i ever see from the GFS anymore is 0.00 unless its rain

stormtracker
I'm going to BTV, dude...hopefully in the next 2 years....no more child's play...they are in a valley, but downtown still averages 80" If it weren't for my kids, I'd be in Portland, ME or Augusta by now. Bob Chill
Im out I'm considering that option but I'll hang until either the 19th or 0z euro. If those options fail I'm out until I'm on again. Cfs looks bad but that is good so...

WinterWxLuvr
you starting the 1/15 thread? i could see a 1-2" event Something there on the Euro? All I see on the GFS is a clipperish system riding in from the great NW. If that's all there is I'll go with 0 to 0 as my initial call. Shoulda kept my original thought and never give it a chance. BaltimoreWxGuy
12z GFS has the storm again, maybe not as impressive as 12z yesterday but still decent as far as moisture for Baltimore. Havnt checked surface temps but thats rather unimportant right now considering we're not seeing a lot of consistency with just showing the storm
usedtobe
The 12Z GFS again pops a low off the coast but temps are on the warm side, mid 30s at best during most of the event. Might give luvr more love than Matt or me

Meh We know how that normally works out, especially for DC/east.

usedtobe
My thread lives another day. I'm out I'm also pretty much out as I think the boundary layer issues are going to be tough to resolve as pretty much all the solutions take a low to our north and then don't leave enough time to gt cold air into our region behind it. Of course I live east of the city so that makes it much easier for me to dismiss it.

Non sticking snowfall sure beats today so I'll hope for a mashed potato cartopper and be happy.
