needbiggerboat
snow is my SSRI...every inch on the ground fills my head with more serotonin and more dopamine...It will help put a wall around my house...a wall of snow In that case you have a chronic serotonin deficiency, and the sad. You know this, but this area is crap if you are a snow lover. If it means so much to you, I hope you are able to move. I hate to see people let stuff they can't control rent so much space in their dome.

Yeoman
I lived in bumble**** Aldie VA for 3 years and experienced the joys of more snow, but I wouldn't move out of the city to the burbs for 10x times the snowfall. What a miserable existence.

Ian
You're just realizing that? I used to be part of the contingent that mocked this region endlessly back in the day. mattie g
Wife and I are out after the kids are done school. I can run my company anywhere with high speed net and a phone. My wife loves snow too. We've talked about a slower life many times. She adores Maine but I know she would be happy InVermont and nh too. Rockies are too harsh and far from a coast. Those days are behind me anyway. At least for long term living. If you do move in 15-16 you need to troll the f out of the obs threads. Just be like "im only a few miles nw of 95 and have virtually the same climo" I hope to be down in South Carolina for retirement time - salt water fishing 10-11 months out of the year and golf all year round. The only thing that would keep me from doing that is being too far away from my family in Jersey. Snow is nice and all, but if I can rip the lips of some reds, specks, and flounder and crush drives on a regular basis, then snow can go F itself. Ian
It's gonna be sad when all the fun people leave our region and just the snow people are left. Fortunately I'll be in Colorado and won't care.

Maybe we like the mayhem an event brings to the area uknow, with schools closing, government liberal leave, 24 hour local news cycles interviewing crazy people. Running out to get bread, TP, snacks and beer. It's like a big party around here when it snows.

WinterWxLuvr
the ONLY thing keeping me here is my job...I have a good job...and I don't know what I would do up there...so I am starting to lay out some scenarios for work...If I can get that resolved...im there..2015-16? Burlington is a nice place. If I was moving up there I choose southern NH. Be close enough to Boston if I wanted to see a game or something, close to areas of Maine I like, and good climate. Yep, Vermont isn't cheap, but not super outrageous either. I know, there are real estate books galore from 3 years ago here from when my wife and I were SERIOUSLY considering moving there before she suddenly passed. If you want to be in the 'in' location for snow look around Underhill. It is a 15-20 minute drive to downtown on Rt 15 and has a great view of Mansfield too! Bob Chill
I vote no. Surface is terrible. All the snow falls above freezing. Stupid low to the north screws it all up. I know it could evolve differently with more amp and a short period of caa but right now it's a non event in my eyes. Pulled this gem out of the pattern thread. I can't even listen to myself.
