needbiggerboat
Not enough people love the simple joy of snow falling I love it, as long as it doesn't stick or pile up.
usedtobe
GFS run looks pretty lame, no low popping off the coast to our east or south and temps in the upper 30s at onset dropping to around 35 towards the end of the light precip.
mattie g
It was a good winter Niño = nice summer.
Wonderdog
Too bad that glob of heavier precipitation along the NC. coast on Tuesday can't develop into a storm and suck in colder air more quickly.
Heisy
EURO 500mb looks good, does it show anything?
usedtobe
The euro Has nice low to our south but keeps the precip south of us. It's closer to a storm than either the gfs or NAM. Move the vort a state north and we're in.
mitchnick
EURO 500mb looks good, does it show anything? wow.gif 700mb and 850mb RH suggest it's off shore, but that looks like it could wrap back inland idk
mitchnick
maybe something when that cold shot gets here from the MW on day 6-7?
Saturn510
Could the euro just be hinting at something later on rather than the 15th. We seem to be in a pattern where things just pop up in the day 5-6 range.
stormtracker
That's is a pretty good h5 map from the euro. Like Wes said, would be nice if it were a little north.
usedtobe
maybe something when that cold shot gets here from the MW on day 6-7? Gives me around a half inch. Though it's a long shot, I wouldn't give up yet on the 15th....look who I'm talking to, foolish me.
Heisy
Wes, where the EURo does the show precip, how are surface temps?
usedtobe
That's is a pretty good h5 map from the euro. Like Wes said, would be nice if it were a little north. That 500 keep me interested a tad but I think the euro likes doing that....being a little too jazzy with vorts on the tail end of trofs. Of course, occasionally, they work out. It's a long shot but worth watching.
usedtobe
Wes, where the EURo does the show precip, how are surface temps? Better than on the 15th. By the end of the panel with precip, the 32 degree line is to our south. Still the precip is pretty light and what precip is there is mainly to the southeast. Heisy
Just a little tidbit, but on the 12z GFS ensembles, P009 is actually fairly close to what the EURO 500mb looks like. There are a few that are pretty close though.
