It's snowing!

About time. lol

You can tell that the upper flow is slowly going negative tilted. Notice how precip is filling in some around CLT. Also notice the precip around Winston Salem is moving N with a slight NW component. It may try to fill in more as the night goes on and the band moves east.

Someone on another board said the last NAM had a half inch for central NC"

Its possible. Lastest nam and nam hi res really gets this band going. If it can get organized to last long enough in one area for a hour or more with decent rates.

Finally snowing here!!! Hoping to get that band moving north from the Charlotte area in a bit.

Even though the returns are light atm that band northeast of Charlotte seems to be growing in size and intensity. I hoping to get in on it as well.

A little worried that the two main bands coming from Charlotte might split me here.

Light snow. Too warm to stick, but otherwise, it's a healthy looking band on radar.

I am at work and saw that band on radar and pulled up some Durham traffic cams and you can actually see the snow in some of them.... and now MHX has even added snow back into our forecast for around daybreak......radar looks ok for you as well might be able to get the roofs and cars white for a bit at least......

It's a nice looking snow. Ground here is too warm but it is sticking some on the porch. Temp has dropped to 32.2 so that next/last band may stick a little better.

It sure is... nice surprise. I bet the ground is covered in Durham County too just by looking at Radar. As long as that band holds together Wake County.... Brick might see a dusting too.

So much for that clip I was going to upload. I'll take pictures around sunrise cause I'm sure by noon it will all be gone.

Congrats Guys!  Glad to see some of you finally getting in on some snow.

Ditto. The irony apparently where it's was snowing wasn't cold enough to stick but here it was below freezing by mid evening and a very cold 22 right now lol. Although dry as can be not a cloud in sight
