EasternUSWX
Roads are fine, the radar is deceptive. We don't even have 2" here. cam.PNG Where is this? You must be in a bubble. Closing in on 4" here.
psuhoffman
All of Maryland is getting crushed right now. Looks like echoes moving NW and getting stronger. http://collaboration.cmc.ec.gc.ca/cmc/cmdn/pcpn_type/pcpn_type_gem_reg.html Not that the RGEM is the best model but this is the best image to illustrate.. The banding after contracting last morning is expected to expand back into east central PA from around 3-6pm. This is when we might get another burst of decent snowfall in the MDT area and points northeast. You can see from the sim radar how it predicted the heavy snows would contract for a time before reforming. We will see but this is not unexpected. Look at the loop on the link and you can see what I am talking about.

CarlislePaWx
Woo-hoo! Under the 15 dbz's and the larger flakes are making their appearance for the first time so far. Temp down to 19.6. Also making an appearance is a small dryslot due south of me in Adams county moving north.
Laurel Highlands Wx
Got about .75" here in State College. Dry air definitely an issue. Seems like the turnpike band is trying to come back but it seems to be struggling.
EasternUSWX
It is going to be extremely cold tonight. 0 to -5 for many. Even colder up north. Wind chills -15 to -25.
Voyager
Laughable. Got 1.2" here so far, but with this making an appearance, and the look of the current radar, I'm not so sure we see a whole lot more...
AllWeather
The pivot and stronger bands are developing now in the SE counties (especially MD). Not worried about busting low for turnpike south, just yet.

MAG5035
Most of DC metro. Our snow totals were lowered to the generic 4" - 6". I've noticed that despite it seeming to snow pretty good along I-70 up in MD all the highway cameras are showing mainly wet roads in that area. MAG5035
One of those southwestward propagating weenie bands that have been showing up around the CCX radar has just drifted overhead here. Heaviest snow and best flakes i've seen all event.
Jns2183
The snow and wind has really picked up in Camp Hill. CTP indirectly mentioned the lull in their 11:35 discussion. FIRST PULSE OF STRONG LOW-MID LEVEL FGEN FORCING IS SLIDING JUSTEAST OF THE LOWER SUSQ VALLEY...WHILE ANOTHER AREA WILL BE FORMING/ADVECTING INTO THAT SAME ARE FROM NEAR THE I-81 CORRIDOR IN NRNVA. A couple nice features of the RadarScope app I enjoy during snow storms are the Enhanced Echo Tops and Hi-Res Vertical Intregrated Liquid features. I find they give me some lead time over radar refelections in figuring out where banding will set up as well as issues with dry air. Here are 4 screen shots I took as an example. Voyager
Snowing so lightly out that it looks more like a light rainy drizzle. The sun I showed in the pic a few minutes ago is much brighter and so pronounced now that there are slight shadows from my fence posts. Seriously...wtf happened? Yeah, my brother told me that it's really snowing in Manchester PA. Looking at radar, you can see it expanding. Looking good.
NeffsvilleWx
The national radar mosaic really shows the expansion of heavy rates in MD. In larger scale systems such as this, I find it much more useful for reflectivity than GR3. http://radar.weather.gov/ridge/Conus/full_loop.php
