HIPPYVALLEY
What a difference a 1/4 mile makes. I just took a walk--the ones with a wintry look were taken within .25 and .5 miles from the Pit, about 150' below The sad brown ones were taken here at the Pit. I'm sure Chris' place looks even more wintry. 35.3/28 yes it does...

Ginx snewx
Drying winds for the win.mud is 3-5 inches deep, under that is solid frozen earth. I tried reinstalling a fence pole that was torn down last night by a broken branch, solid ice under neath. Should be an interesting post thaw period. Hints of blocking and a Feb SSW in the very long range. Going to be a long long winter.

Lava Rock
Sure does look icy. That's what my walk to the woodpile was like through last night. It's a bit better this morning. Hopefully with temps today and tomorrow in the low 40's we can get the driveway melted before some snow later this week snow showers won't cut it. CBS 3 crews were on the scene at Arnold Street around 9 p.m., and the road is shut down. Police said the flooding stretches about three houses long and is 2 feet deep at its worst. They said one car is stuck in the road due to the flooding, and they are in the process of getting it out. Police said the homes on the road are not flooded. It is just the street that is not passable, as it is draining very slowly. They do not have an estimate as to when the road will reopen. It is currently the only road shut down in the city. Tom12309
Flooding in the Dorptown with ice jams on the Mohawk. I'll always have that 5 degree all day snow before it. I just keep closing my eyes and thinking of it... which got dangerous on the drive to the office today but that's another issue.
