Indystorm
Nice narrow LES band developing on the east shore of Lake Michigan nw of Muskegon all the way south to LaPorte, Starke, and Pulaski counties in IN as system snow moves out.
snowstormcanuck
Although lighter, still all snow here in central Etobicoke. Tons 'o bright-banding over Hamilton. The end is nigh.
AppsRunner
How is the flake size down there? Flake size here hasn't been impressive yet (no ripping of dendrites). Bands just moving in here but flake sizes have been kinda variable. Far from pixie dust but not huge flakes by any stretch of the imagination. michsnowfreak
Not sure where we are at now...all i know is we had such a slow accumulation all day and since about 4pm it has been piling up quickly. This should be my 3rd 8"+ storm of the winter and its not yet mid-January. THAT is CRAZY! DTW wont get the totals to the north, but this is an example of the ingredients coming together just right (frontal boundary stalled and storm rode up). Took some vid but will upload tomorrow. Toronto4
Light ZR at this moment in downtown T.O.by Queens Park. No flakes flying around here. See how it goes? Same here. I'd say 3-4" has fallen since midnight. It looks like one last band of heavy snow is set to move in before it changes to rain in the next hour or two. Boogieman
Lights flickered here several times this afternoon as the wind started cranking it was a little unnerving to say the least. I can relate.... we were like the only block still with power when the ice storm went through last month. It's definitely a "walking on eggshells" scenario. snowstormcanuck
Got to enjoy the rippage for 18 seconds before the most dreaded sound in all of winter weatherdom was heard...ping.
