It's bad. Just drove from Poconos to shore and by far fog was worse than ice. Kudos to the roads crews!!!!!

Glad you made it safely SP

Thansks. We waited for the crews to do there thing as well as Mother Nature with the temps. A few notes......it was 34 at the cabin when I left and the untreated areas were frozen as ground temps were freezing. This effect likely had a lot to do with the problems through the afternoon. Driving down 33 through the gap it was amazing to see the snow covered in ice, completely. When combined with the dense fog, sheen on your right and left and the unrelenting experience of driving through a salt mine...it all made for an interesting experience. The obvious and important part was the roads were wet, no longer iced. I did pass numerous remains of vehicles, trucks and buses which attempted the same route earlier. Watching waze through the afternoon the "car in ditch" reports were spot on, I saw most of them. That's a grab app for mapping and conditions!

55F right now in West Chester. Uncannily warm winds, reminds me of Santa Ana winds from SoCal.

Never experienced those winds although I've heard about them (in a steely dan song among other places). The fog blowing at the surface from the cold ground/snow is cool. Would like to see the temp. start to fall soon though, not ready to look at total grass just yet.
