15Z SREF plumes for SEMI:

DTW: 12.2" (8-16")

JXN: 15.5" (10-20")

TTF: ~12" (6-15")

MTC: 11.6" (7-15")

FNT: 13.5" (8-18")

Let er rip! :snowing:

It would be miraculous if Detroit gets a foot (and catches up to Flint at that), given that our struggle snow thus far has just not gotten us to 2".

The snow in fact has been so light with tiny flakes that sleet was mixing in at times (note the current location of the freezing line, which is black).

al so far around 3 to 3.5 inches here inlivonia. Snowfall rates haven't been impressive yet. Hoping that changes.

Yeah, so far nothing big. Unless we get some serious comma-head banding going on right along the rivers we're not getting anything close to what is going to fall just 50-60 miles NW of us.

We are probably over 2" here, but not by much, and the snow is QUICKLY picking up in intensity.

We are right on schedule as far as Im concerned.

Through 18z (1pm), DTW was at 0.17" liquid having fallen

Taking a look at last nights 00z runs:

00z NAM: Total qpf: 0.86", qpf by 18z: 0.09"

00z GFS: Total qpf: 0.79". qpf by 18z: 0.14"

Heavy snow is moving in. We are doing fine.

Latest RAP showing 0.8" QPF to go. Gonna be a fun evening here.

It is starting to look better outside. I guess it just feels weird to see places already working on a foot so close and hardly having anything close to it yet just makes it seem like things are going worse than they are.

Hosed snow pretty good for about half an hour but we've since dropped back to -SN.

It doesn't feel like it's going to rain. Down to -1.4c, brisk cold wind, and actually at about 2" not 1".

Waterloo will likely do better wrt snowfall totals vs Toronto.

KBUF radar inconviently down for maintenance.
