Wow you guys should get a depth of at least 18 inches by the time this storm is done. Were supposed to get a historic lake effect storm Monday into Weds, yet our section of the forums is completely dead. So I figured I'd come over here and join with you guys in this exciting storm. ^_^

Welcome! Post your observations about the lake effect here! After all, you technically are part of the Great lakes region!

4 more counties under restricted travel in Indiana (Clinton, Boone, Putnam, Jasper).

Over 7" and counting...now thinking it's quite possible we hit that 10" mark.

Ft. Wayne area continues to get hammered.

Actually getting into some decent 20-25 DBZ returns IMBY

Flake size increasing here as well, but everything melting on contact.

To the Toronto crew...give up. No one stays below freezing. We're all going to rain at some point from south to north. Enjoy whatever meager snow you can get to accumulate and then watch as it gets washed away.

Some nice returns there, btw what radar are you using?

Haha SSC. I think it's pretty obvious we're going to get rain, no denying it. Just hoping my call can verify on this snow before the rain washes it all away. I'm thinking it's possible.

A couple of photos I snapped on my Jeb walk. Nothing spectacular, but just a few scenes from the area. My eyes are bloodshot from walking north into the snow.  :arrowhead:

Amazing pictures! Really envious!

Steady snow in downtown Toronto. It's melting on the main streets, but sticking on side streets, especially sidewalks.

Same here. My temperature has climbed to -0.8 Celsius, however. I hope we can get a few hours of snow before the changeover.

Dry slot on the doorstep of LAF. No double digit totals with this one. Still good, as we can put another 6"+ storm in the ledger.

Going on 7 here. Hoping that defo band will curl in as it moves away. Still, my early call of 9" is looking good.

2 storms gone to waste for us in a week. What a miraculous start to 2014. I'm loving it already. -_-

Getting some light snows here too. Very fine grain like last night. No accumulation yet.
