BlizzardNole
To emphasize the differences in temps over short distances -- DAS in Clarksburg is just a couple miles N of me (I am in the Milestone area of Germantown), and I had no ice, with the rain starting at 32 degrees and rising up to 35 now. Back home in the garage now. Roads were not bad as of now. Currently 26 out.

WVclimo
Wow, nice icing on that driveway. Our concrete sidewalks have a coating, but the asphalt is getting puddles and nothing forming on the cars at 27 degrees. Your earlier start really gave you a jump on accretion before the midday sun angle.

Solo2
You reaching quarter of an inch up there? Just about .2" and the rain is pretty steady. I think Mrs. J has a more reliable rain gauge than I do, so she can probably be more accurate.

Ltrain
I had some freezing rain early this morning around 5 or 6am. I walked to the car and almosted fell on my butt. I didn't think I would see any frozen. LWX did issue a freezing rain advisory for me overnight.
Amped
Just tried to walk outside. Car is frozen over and I don't feel like chipping it out. Word of advice, stay off the sidewalk!! Or if you are going to walk on it, post the vid on youtube!
