Cold OBS Friday night 1/3-4/2014

Got down to -4.2 at some point overnight in Spring Mount, PA (I can check the Min temp on my digital outdoor thermometer)...the lowest I saw was at 7:30 AM of -3.4 degrees.  The -4.2 is the lowest I have seen on that thermometer since I bought it after moving to Spring Mount in the summer of 2002.  It's quite possibly the coldest temp at any place I have lived since the brutally cold outbreak in January 1994 (I was living in North Wales at that time, and saw -14 one morning).

PHL 8 this morning... last was 8 on 1/24/2011
PNE 3 this morning... last was 3 on 1/24/2011

VAY -3 this morning... coldest reading since ASOS was installed in 1997!
ILG 5 this morning... last was 5 on 1/17/2009
PTW -2 this morning... last was -2 on 1/28/2005
DYL -2 this morning... last was -3 on 1/24/2011

TTN -1 this morning... last was -3 on 1/21/1994!
MIV -8 this morning... last was -10 on 1/28/1987!
ACY -3 this morning... last was -8 on 2/5/1996!
RDG 1 this morning... last was 0 on 1/24/2011
ABE -4 this morning... last was -4 on 1/24/2011

looks like at 0830z they hit 3.0 - interesting to note that today as most afternoons have lately they are running quite a bit higher than surrounding stations - I have noticed this over the past couple weeks - will be interesting to monitor

Could you show me where you are seeing that?  I'm not finding it anywhere.
