BlizzardNole
Some of you were wondering about other regions -- I just went on the Philly, NY and NE forums out of curiosity. Except for immediate coastal areas and NJ, it has kinda disappointed for a lot of folks up north. I am very happy with 3" here. I had no expectations for this one. Huffwx
that was the appetizer..main show on the way Famous last words. This seemed to be the over perfoming "dry slot" in VA. Coastal and backbuild, inverted was pegged for 11pm or so later. You guys could haul in another 1-2.
CAPE
This storm is ending as a disaster. We couldn't even make it to the ratio part It was always going to be a disaster for your area, and esp by your standards. Snowing its ass off here and several more hours of snow to come. WinterWxLuvr
The RAP and its reliability have been debated. This little blob it shows over my area has been on the RAP since mid afternoon. I was skeptical, but it's starting to form. Can be seen on radar. That's pretty amazing IMO.

Your are going to get some compaction with that stuff underneath, but that is a great total with more to fall. It will look like the artic with the wind in the am.
