If nothing going on by midnight that's all she wrote NAM sim/rad seems to wrap in in from the NW Bob...take a look and you'll see what I mean
MDScot
3" here in Gaithersburg, snow light and tapering down. Don't think we will get much more - but this is fine for today.

Dino
Is this thing still going to drop those huge totals up north? I was wondering that myself. The deformation bands are mostly to the south and the back edge is moving east rapidly (or drying out?)
H2O
Just measured in three places and avg'd 1.75" Light snow falling but looks to be over soon. Probably will be just under 2"
MN Transplant
Neat snowfall, if a little quick. Less snow than the two March storms, but this will actually last for more than 24hrs.
aldie 22
Nickle and diming for 3 years is exhausting and the worst hobby Come on man we've had a 3" 4" and now close to 5" storm by January 2nd...you kinda look like a kook..lol
Ji
This storm is ending as a disaster. We couldn't even make it to the ratio part
olafminesaw
I hate when my snow gets messed up Doesn't wet snow get crunchy when it gets cold fast? won't it stay put?
wxmeddler
Well it seems like some trees we're blocking my snowboard.. I took a walk around and it was a solid 4" everywhere. 3.1" on top of the faulty snowboard.
HighStakes
NAM sim/rad seems to wrap in in from the NW Bob...take a look and you'll see what I mean Tom T's future cast hinted at that. It showed little finger bands as well lasting until 4-5 in the morning rotating down from the north.

NorthArlington101
Around 3" is my final total, eyeballing plus previous measurement. Still coming down light.
Pityflakes
Just went by DCA on the Metro, obviously impossible to really tell but assuming this ends now I think the streak is alive.
Swiscaster
I also hate when my snow gets messed up. As a kid, I would play in other people's yards but keep mine pristine.
PhineasC
Those aren't even warning criteria events dude...advisory You live in Leesburg, not in the mountains. Your climo is pretty much advisory events and the occasional big dog. Same as the rest of us.

caviman2201
Just shoveled and my god is it heavy & wet... I definitely suggest doing it if you haven't already. Shoveling that tomorrow in -10 wind chills will not be pleasant...
snowfan
Some locales north of Boston are cashing in. Boxford, MA is already reporting 21". They're getting great ratios. It's 4F at Logan right now with a WC near -20. Is this thing still going to drop those huge totals up north?

jbj5d
Yeah...I think you must be in a different old town and not Old Town Alexandria. Definitely less than an inch. Roads are slushy and wet. Feels very similar to the last storm except it's night time instead of day. Yeah, no. North side of King Street here, nothing close to that. Glad that I'm not the only one. Oh, dca snow hole, how I missed you when living in North Arlington.
