BOX upped their lows to -9F in the P&C.  May have to go lower for TAN.  Can they crack -11 or -12F?  I say this because I've always noticed the ASOS ends up below NWS guidance.

OKX has GON with a low "around -10" and northern New London County -10 to -15. There's something you don't see every day.

-10F wasn't happening at BOS. The core of the cold passed through over night and no one went calm. Winds were ripping 30-40mph. We had the below 0F SHSN up here too (at -10F). In fact I think the SHSN helped BOS get that extra 1-2F for -7F. We had the mid-level -30 to -35C core go right over us so we actually started getting WAA before sunrise.

I went for a walk that night of 3 miles (like an idiot). When I returned home, I had rime ice on the inside of my glasses. Crazy! That was right about the time of the low temperature.

BOS hit -7 in January 2004. We had a shot at lower but some high clouds and pixy dust fell with temps below zilch. Temps went minuts by dark so I thought -10 was not only doable but probable and it may have been had it not been for the debris.

I was in upstate NY once and the temperature was -33. A true snot freezer. But it was due to extreme radiational cooling since during that same day temps rose over 50 degrees!

Tomorrow might be similar in some spots of the North Country... BTV forecasting -25F here in Stowe (currently -10/-20 at 5pm) and then a high near 20F tomorrow.

There will be many spots doing the 40+ temp swing tomorrow...and some of the colder radiational spots could get a 50+ diurnal change as H85 temps rise to -3C tomorrow, especially if we get some mixing with partly sunny skies.

I was living in Goffstown, NH and we had back to back highs of 0F. The apartment sliding door was half covered with rime ice too.

I was weenieing out that night of the 15th-16th and went out after midnight when that SHSN came through. It was -10F with 35mph winds with snow and blowing snow. Pretty awesome.

I will be starting the car up every few hours tonight...gotta make sure it starts in the morning. Some people put blankets over the engine and battery, others just set their alarms and go outside every 3 hours to run it for 20 minutes....gotta keep up with it once below -20F.

Some folks cars at the ski area didn't start this afternoon after 8 hours of negative teens...automobiles really weren't designed for these temps we'll see up here.

This is crazy for 6pm...what will another 12 hours of radiating do?

I'm at -13F now...some places will be approaching -20F within another hour. Coles Pond down to -18F now.

Yup, crazy early in the evening. -13f here in Orwell. absolutely clear and dry sky. I hope we can get down to -25F, as that would be a personal best.

Don't you have a plugin?  You can get them after market too.
