Hoar_Frost
I was saying that earlier. Depending on how the main plume works out, could easily #1 all time for MBY. Probably the best I've seen or heard of IMBY in nearly 23 years. 3.5"-4" of pure LES -- that's rare this far inland on this side of Lake Michigan. harrisale
Picked up about 1-2cm in the last 12 hours or so here, in addition of a few hours of virga. Pretty weak accumulation rates as dendrites can't seem to form. Been pixie dust since the begining. Atmosphere is moisture deprived as we're right on the northern edge of this system. Hopefully as the low moves north today we can take advantage of the cold temperatures and produce some nice fluff as the DGZ expands with more moisture. Chitown Storm
Absolute whiteout in Lisle near 355 and 88. Don't recall seeing it snow like this since GHD. Heavier band moving in and doesn't look like it's going anywhere fast.
Brewers
It's over up here in WI. Main plume is quickly moving east and is not very wide. Also can anyone recall a LE event in Dec 1989. I think the Chicago area did very well in that.
Thundersnow12
Best LES setup on this side of the lake since January 2005 after that mega clipper.

I think the Chicago area did very well in that. Not sure about then but there was a good one in February of that year. Storm Data mentions 4" in downtown Chicago, a foot in far southeast Cook county and 2 feet just across the border in Lake county Indiana.

Chicago WX
It's not the most impressive band...but I'm impressed with that streamer maintaining in Kankakee County and into Iroquois. Snow has picked back up here, but it's just window dressing at this point. EDIT: a tick above window dressing.
