JQPublic
It really is. The cold air has to completely traverse the mountains to our north before it really starts spilling in, basically because it has to. If you watch a time laps of colder air moving in from the northwest, it is remarkable to watch this be the very last spot to cool. Timelapse link? Its a cool city, but definitely would not want to live there in winter. You really have to have a strong CAD to get really cold.
Bevo
Timelapse link? I would like to see that as well. Not because I doubt it, but because it would be freaking cool.

Its 21 and dropping steady. Strong CAA going atm. NWS going 5 for the low... but that might be warm.

J.C.
Timelapse link? I use the new maps on weather.com, just switch from radar to temperatures, then throw it in motion. Its a cool city, but definitely would not want to live there in winter. You really have to have a strong CAD to get really cold. I have enjoyed living here, but coming from the Atlanta area, it is a vastly different climate.

rosie
Wow how low do you think you will go tonight? 13.8 and the wind has died down some here. Colder than I want to see without a nice snow. Busted pipes we do not need, probably will loose most of my daylillies.
BraseltonGAWX
12.9 at 9:00 PM. Averaging a drop of about 1.2 degrees per hour the last 2 hours. If that trend could continue (and I know it probably won't), I'll get real close to 0 by 7:00 AM.
SN_Lover
Cold Air Advection should slow for GA and points west. A few more hours before the rate of cooling is reduced for points East.

FLweather
Odd. My low rose from 7 to 9 and high tomorrow from 22 to 27. Definitely going to be under 9 based on where I am now (14.9). No doubt. NWS has been hanging around 5 here. Considering the overall conditions right now and some of the dps that has been forecasted would equal below 0 here and around RDU area. Really its insane at the amount of cold.
