Peachtree City is probably the source of the radar you are looking at and it's south of Atlanta, so it often under-reports light snow in the north Georgia mountains. Yes, and it is particularly true today. Most of this, including the clouds, is all below the beam. This cold, the dendrite production zone is near the ground.
