tamarack
GYX doesn't cover downeast Maine. Go to CAR for that. IMO, "Downeast" Maine begins at BHB. Thru about 7 this morning, CAR's top obs were 5" at several Hancock/Washington Cty points. Their forecast for Washington Cty is 4-8", and radar suggests some places may go over the top of that range by a bit. Matt's Standish total looks to be high for Maine among obs I've seen, with some other 10-12" reports from York and Cumberland. Only 1.8" thru 7 AM at my place, but it all came with temps -8 to -12. Even in Ft.Kent I never saw an entire event stay that cold, though some were far colder at the start before WAA brought the surface temps into the singles or teens. Edit: We need more of the Maine peeps on KevinMA's snow table; only two of us so far.

Mips
My corner of North Andover/Middleton/Boxford, MA. After settling, in undrifted area, the snow measured 14.5 inches this morning in the same area I was measuring 16 last night. Here are some picture of the morning after. Some of them from the same vantage points of last night's murky shots. Some other shots of the street. http://www.americanwx.com/bb/index.php/gallery/album/33-morning-after-01032014/ Shoveling, it was easy to tell what was drifted and what wasn't.
