butterfish55
basically now. radar is blossoming and filling in as we begin to establish onshore flow. still 30F here but we should see temps drop in the next couple hours. I'm down to 26.3 (and dropping). Nice steady snow now too. I imagine the front will be through here any minute.....
TalcottWx
This event reminds me of Jan 2005 in that N of Boston jumped out to the early lead, with the oe/waa couplet early on in a super arctic environment, then the we lulled an the 2nd part pounded the s shore and cape. I think this will be a more progressive version. The snow is absolute carbon copy from that event.

Understanding it's not the same thing but it kind of follows the pattern of many KUs which this certainly will be.

TalcottWx
Entering the timeframe upon which the CF makes it's drastic crash and stalls eventually. Essex country jackpot time is transitioning to BOS proper to canal time. Best convergence is on the move. HRRR has showed this well. Some mixing with rain on south shore though reported as far north as Marshfield. I think Scott is sitting pretty.
weathafella
Snow is now accumulating at least 1/hour. I'm literally watching it rise on the deck. I'd say 8-10 now.
Baroclinic Zone
I just saw that the temp was 30, I couldn't believe it. We are going to have a serious drop. How much are you thinking for us overnight? 8-10"

I shied away from the comparison (after James was scolded for doing so)... and not saying this is anywhere close... but last time I saw obs like the 6pm Logan readings was that morning of the 23rd 2005. SouthCoastMA
Seems pretty good. Should net us a foot, someone is going to approach 25-30 inches I think I think 10-15" more due to ratios. Its going to pile up very quickly in a 9 hour span

Yukon Cornelius
6F and about 2" on the deck rail as I look at it now. Amazing that folks to the east already have close to 10x that amount, lol.
