. Interesting I'm 6.6f maybe such bright skies adding to my temp even though I'm 17miles north and higher than u

Definitely helping some, filtered sunshine has allowed the more northern locations rise a few degrees. Meanwhile here at the office and in Portland the temps are falling.

Just saw the noon PNS:

... Suffolk County...
Jamaica Plain 3.0 1054 am 1/02 ham radio
   Boston 3.0 1028 am 1/02 none
   Winthrop 1.0 700 am 1/02 spotter
   1 N Boston 1.0 700 am 1/02 Logan Airport

Not a bad start for Boston metro, and intensity picking back up in the past 20 min.

Logan 24F / Central Square 15.9F

Wonder what BOX thinking is re: upgrading to Blizzard Warning in Boston / North Shore / NE MA... 10-15dbz achieving relatively low visibility.

Bleeding down pretty good. I've gone from 14 to 7 this morning in sw Rockingham.

Completely inverted over here...

4000ft...+2F

1500ft...0F

1200ft...0F (MPV)

750ft...-2F (MVL)

300ft...-9F (BTV)

All with light snow falling.

The larger valleys are iceboxes...BTV/PBG both near -10 and MSS down to -12.

Pretty impressive at how hard it is snowing underneath the radar beams, without the radar being able to pick it up.

Temp has dropped another degree in last 30 minutes.

Snowgrowth is finally better here too. Must have some low level forcing under the radar. Doesn't take much at these temps

Temp grids have been tough today. Highs at midnight, but our "high temp" runs from 12z to 01z. So highs for today and lows for tonight are very similar. Tough to keep hourly temps in check then. Not to mention all the places falling in CAD.
