IntenseBlizzard2014
.8-1" of liquid on this run for NE NJ/NYC/Western LI. Definitely better than the 12Z NAM.
WE GOT HIM
Man cant wait for the 4k there should be an insane band over li from looking at the nam
WeatherFox
Almost over at 48 hours. A good run for NYC - will depend a lot on the banding for the highest accumulations.
SleetStormNJ
At hour 39 a vort max passes right over southern NJ. That is classic for a big storm. Yup. That's a high-potential signal for sure.

yhbrooklyn
I better not be watching a heavy band over Suffolk while Brooklyn stays light. Hate that.
WE GOT HIM
NAM has over an inch qpf for LI. The crazy thing is that band sets up as temps are crashing and ratios are going through the roof - The 4k should show that band even better
jjvesnow
Good run. Shows the upside we have here. QPF of .60 to .80 very common across nj. That's 8-12 inches on average with ratios.

IsentropicLift
The 4k NAM has a band of light snow developing tonight over the Hudson Valley and Poconos and keeping it around a few hours. Everywhere else the snow stays very light until Friday 00z. Anyone around the city shouldn't expect much before dark tomorrow.

TWCCraig
The reason LI is getting high totals is because of that CCB. 12z NAM had southern NJ getting the brunt of it, now the 18z NAM shift it 100 miles NE and LI gets it. That's a big shift, and I expect it to keep shifting all over the place. Not 100% sold on those totals.

There might yet be a shift west with the heavy coastal precip- other models have that very close. The better trend at 500mb makes it more likely that we at least get swiped by it on the coast.
