The reason LI is getting high totals is because of that CCB. 12z NAM had southern NJ getting the brunt of it, now the 18z NAM shift it 100 miles NE and LI gets it. That's a big shift, and I expect it to keep shifting all over the place. Not 100% sold on those totals.

yea it will still, but with EURO and GFS looking wetter our chances of 8+ are rising

There might yet be a shift west with the heavy coastal precip- other models have that very close. The better trend at 500mb makes it more likely that we at least get swiped by it on the coast.
