its not much of a - nao. Ao is very - as it has been. With a negative pna we need a much stronger nao than what is modeled.

Yeah, so does the GFS. Posted some teleconnections in the LR thread.

Agreed, it's very close to something better, as modeled we would have storms tracking to our west, but would be good for NE. They have to be salivating, BOS will be shattering records this winter of its right.

Thanks guys.  It's good that we might be starting to see a change in the Atlantic....maybe.  I'm not worried about specifics yet.  I'll take this as a good start.

Will you be mad if the coast gets a 6" storm and we get nothing?

I would be disappointed, but I am not going to say everytime there is a system that we won't get anything. Seems there are a couple of people who do that. Not sure why they even bother following them if they think they're never going to get snow anyway.

There is potential upcoming but no model is showing a storm for our area at this time so we need a big shift west for us to be in the game. Now I'm not saying it won't happen but the odds of a storm to trend our favor aren't great...LOL. And Franklin is in the mountains so he needs more help than we do. I can understand what he is saying. I might be negative sometimes but I'm ready to see some of the potential to produce. I've shoveled a lot of potential over the years.

I want a big snow, too. But it's like a couple of folks already make their minds up that they aren't going to see snow no matter what.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens.  I'm not going to say we're not going to get snow but I'm ready to see it on something other than some ensemble members.

Yeah I'm bummed about this one myself....it had more of a chance than I think we've seen in a while.  But of course, it turns out it's going to be TOO cold for a storm.  Of course it is!!

Then we go zonal afterward.  Waa, waa, waaaaaaaaaa..... :sleepy::maprain:

Na, I haven't QUITE given up.  I'll give it till Sunday.

the storm this weekend looks like a coastal storm thanks to the crushing vortex. Then next week the gfs and cmc show a rainstorm. #debbie downer.

In a three hour meeting was doing pbp on my phone or else it would have happened.

Sent from my HTC One

It's all good, I'll just wait until it says we are getting a foot then I expect to see you say it even if you are having to do a pbp while doing the nasty  :drunk:
