One nice thing about watching a winter storm hitting areas on the fringe of our area is I get to refresh my ignore list... looks like at least one more is going on it today. "Sleet, really? I'm tired of this", "Only light snow, I can't wait for this storm to be over."

boooo freaking who I'd kill for sleet or light snow at this point.

  :bag:

lol..... just gets old hearing it. Sorta like a person complaining all that have to eat is a hambuger while someone starving is watching them through the window salivating.

So you are telling me if you had a winter storm warning for 3-6 inches of snow and ended up with sleet and no accumulations, you wouldn't be disappointed?

Yeah after raising three kids some of that stuff is hard to take. Some folks manage disapointment better than others. But hey thats what the ignore feature is for. I'm sure not everyone thinks my posts are steller bits of vital information

That's embarrassing. Weakly weather briefing. NWS GSP can't spell now. Then later in the title it says the word week.

How do you post a YouTube video spelling weekly like weakly? Then you are in the NWS.

They probly have a degree in atmospheric sciences and calculus and the such, not English majors

Sometimes, when you're busy as fuuck on the DSS desk, and you're trying to get a stupid public youtube briefing out before other deadlines and other briefings and other products and other media calls and aviation requests, you make a mistake. It really has nothing to do with knowing correct English. You guys need to seriously get a life. lolz

+1 I was going to say, cut you all some slack, it's busy as all get out.

Dude whatever. Like anyone is actually going to watch that briefing. Poor excuse for a dumbass spelling mistake. It wasn't even that serious so I'm not sure what your problem is.

If I'm not mistaken, you're the one that made it big deal. I'm just educating you.

The problem is that if spelling is all you've got to b**ch about, go someplace else. I really can't believe how rude you are. You need to go sit in the swap for a while in timeout.

I'm an educator, but that it sounded more like an excuse to me. Seriously, being busy is not a reason to relax the standards of your profession.  It was a mistake, period.  Not a huge one, but not one that should be excused because they were busy.

You gotta be kidding me. Okay professor, go back through all our youtube videos and calculate the typo ratio for me. Also, while you're at it list the duties of the DSS forecaster and how deadlines are met or attempted to be adhered to under highly active periods.

No need to get sarcastic.  I believe in standards. The reason you have them is for the difficult times. Mistakes, when made, should be acknowledged and attempts made to lessen them going forward. If you want to defend the misspellings it's fine with me. I did find it curious you called that defense, education.

I had a hard time taking your post seriously, hence the sarcasm. No problem, I'll program the no typo thing into our youtube robot forecaster. Do you really think we didn't notice the typo and we don't care if we repeat it? I was "educating" him because obviously he doesn't know how a typo like that can happen. I can tell you one thing, that wont be the last typo for us, even with the standards we adhere to.
