jburns
I think you're all messed up in the head. We're 36 hours from the freaking winter storm and you want to bail out. Well I'll tell you something. This is no longer potential event. It's a quest. It's a quest for snow. You're gonna havesnow, and I'm gonna gave snow... We're all gonna have so much freaking snow we're gonna need bulldozers to remove the feet of snow from our driveways! You'll be whistling 'Zip-A-Dee Doo-Dah'while you're stuck indoors with the snow piled up to your second story window! I must be crazy! I'm on a pilgrimage to see snow. Praise Old Man Winter! Holy ****! Take it easy Clark.

Isopycnic
I am just frustrated, gang. This acts really getting old with winter. I have said all I can about how much it has sucked. I think I will just keep quiet until I actually get some snow. Nothing else to say about it.Move north.... Please.
GaffneyPeach
It's 60 outside and, from the looks of things, it's a pressure-cooker in here. I'll see you fellas on mental health day.
NorthArlington101
I miss TWC now! I won't be able to watch live shots of the DC monster snow! DC resident here, we truly wish you guys would be able to join us, we understand the snow drought and depression. Best of luck to you guys! kvegas-wx
March 15th. Bank it. That is the day winter will begin in the SE. That is the day we will enter the cycle of Friday cold and cloudy turning into weekend snow showers and dreary. How do I know this? Cuz that's the day I can get my boat out of the drystack. Cold Rain
So it all comes down to the Euro. It's our only hope. I'll bet it shows less precip this time.
rduwx
We best hope the next 10 days produces a southern stream storm. If not, this may wrap this winter. JB advises this morning cold goes West in February with the predominant SE ridge back in residence. I'm fine w/ a SE ridge and cold in the west at this point. I'm going to pull a Brick and say that I'm ready for the warm temps if all we are going to have is cold and dry. I can't believe I just agreed w/ Brick... superjames1992
The Euro still gives me a weenie coating. I'm all-in! LOL. The best snows actually miss DC to the north (not that DC doesn't get plenty). Winchester might get a foot. Winchester always comes out on top in Mid-Atlantic snow events. Never fails. Snowshoe, WV would be sick on the Euro.

FLweather
He did say cold would fight back so not hopeless but I'm with you as I'm ready for spring With this fast progressive flow we're in and takes an act of congress to even think about a dusting... so am I. Really been noticing the trees for a while back before Christmas and mid Dec... Nature says its going to be an early spring anyway. Amazing at the progress of the bud formation of the trees since Dec. Really it wouldn't take much but a 3 week warm spell and the daffodils/tulips will be breaking the ground. By the end of Feb first of March everything will be waking up from winter dormancy.
superjames1992
I think I've gotten more snow than DC for the last couple winters, so I guess it's time they get their share. They do average twice my average seasonal snowfall, after all.

packbacker
See, this stuff is so easy, really. I don't know why we make it so hard. Rule of thumb, if a model is showing snow or potential for our area, ignore it, and imagine how it will change to benefit the MA and BOS and you would be a genius. superjames1992
How much snow did you get in 11/12 and 12/13? RDU got less than an inch combined. 1.9" in 11/12, ~4.5" in 12/13. I think DCA actually got less both years. 1.9" was from that 2/19/13 event and ~3.5" in 12/13 was from that 1/17/13 storm. We got another 0.25" from that clipper SN/IP/ZR deal the next week and another 0.75" from an isolated heavy snow shower on 2/16/13. I can't deny that this area has been fortunate during the last couple disastrous winters. I was looking at the ENSO forecasts a few minutes ago and they do seem to indicate a good chance for an El Nino next winter. All-in for next winter, all other indices be damned?
