burgertime
I'm not sure being snubbed in Waycross is a bad thing. I'm kind of worried about being number one there. calculus1
I have finally made a Top 10 List. My life is complete. Thanks, Metalman! (I assume it is okay for me to use the familiar term for your username, which dsaur coined.) Oh, and thanks for the info on DBM, Buckeye.

burgertime
Out to 48 GFS looks like it is a mix between the 18z and the NAM. One little blip of precip just over CLT.
Brick Tamland
The trend is our friend doesn't cut it. Why is it our friend? What did it do to form that bond? It's really sad that you need an explanation why your post was deleted. If you would give your own reasoning, instead of just wanting to see your name in a discussion thread, you wouldn't have these issues. It was our friend because the models were showing more precip, which was already posted before. I was commenting on those runs. At least I was commenting on the posts that others made about the model runs. Not sure how that is anymore like banter or relevant than posting something about it doesn't look good in my backyard, or yeah snow for the mountains and northern counties of NC. I don't see how that is really different from posts you made on that thread. Not going to fight about it, but it just seems inconsistent to me. timnc910
I don't see much about eastern nc and the upcoming events... the nws and twc both have snow in the forecast for wed night as the low offshore gets cranking up... it would be nice to get more insight on the eastern half of the state along with the western portion

mackerel_sky
The loss of TWC for me will definitely mean a big snow for GSP area, now that I can't watch! I can remember only once around 1999, they had mike Seidel in Greenville for live shots for a snow event! It was cool and I thinke we got about 5" inches or so

Brick Tamland
So is it time to write off the Wednesday and Friday storms and look to next week? Those two thread have been quite for a while now. But as others have said, the period from 1/20 to 1/31 can be special here.

I'm at the dentist and they won't let me use their computer to check....something about private dental records or some nonsense like that.

I haven't seen anything on here, but at another board there was talk of it actually looking better and it trying to go negative tilt a little further west almost over AL as opposed to GA. Ok, I can help talk you through it: Open a new internet browser or another tab and type www.google.com in the address bar. Hit Enter. Type "psu ewall" in the search field. Hit Enter. It will return a list of blue links (sometimes the links will appear purple if you've been to the site before...don't worry, yours will be blue). Click the first link. It'll take you to ewall. On the right, you'll see the line for the 12z NAM with some hour markers. Click All. You'll see the time frames across the top or in the bottom left. Scroll across them and you'll see the four panels change. The one on the upper left has a bunch of red stuff in it. Tell me what the red stuff is doing. TIA! Maybe something light for the western half of NC but it drys up as it goes east. The storm off the coast does look better developed but it's not close enough to help us. Edit: You did say upcoming. Saturday system looks better on the NAM at hour 84. Looks to have good development. Wish it went further out.

FallsLake
Thanks man. The location of the precip seems to change from run to run. At hour 84 the NAM has two precip clusters, one over east tenn and N. Ga, the other streaming up from the gulf coast along the east coast. Can/will they merge together? I guess we'll find out. Brick Tamland
WxSouth on the NAM for the Wednesday night/Thursday system: Right now, it favors central to western NC, western third of VA with steady, deformation type snow band then it scatters the moisture further east.
