dsaur
And how dumb does an entire crowd at a BB game have to be where no one thought of bringing out a cup of warm water and freeing the poor girl in about 3 seconds. Spit would do it.... or if your mouth is dry, and your bladder full....... Best get permission though, that has Jim Morrison/cheerleader lawsuit, daytime tv written all over it, lol. Thrasher Fan
That's it!! This post is a revelation. I now know why I am totally bored with this. I've experienced sub zero temps many times. I grew up in Northern NJ during the snowy, cold early 60s. I've skied in the Alps at -15. I lived in the mountains of VA during the epic late 70s winters. I was walking around here in 1985 the morning it was -8. I feel better now. Sorry I'm not 60 years old.
GaffneyPeach
Just got in from work and let me just say that if you want THIS mess to get blocked in here for a week...your reasoning skills are off. It is practically impossible to move or breathe. I appreciate the historical record breaking aspect of this but I'm drawing the line at being happy about it. I'm done now. Shawn
Well, I admit FSU won some way. Just like Manti Taeo missed tackle after tackle last year. I'll tell you what, I don't trust sports when Vegas is involved. "OMG I HAVE A CRAMP, I CANT TACKLEEE" (for auburn) .. yeah. k. Anyway, congrats ACC on that kick return. I hope that comment was just a friendly jab.. with the face, i think so... but a lot of the older posters get disrespected here imo.. and they probably have more knowledge than we ever will. burgertime
Well this is fantastic, woke up this morning to no hot water. Ends up my tankless hot water heater (which is mounted outside) froze despite having a heating line along the pipes and being very well insulated. Guess it happens. With these I read you can't drip the water so I didn't. Turns out I should have rant it on a steady but not heavy running hot water. D'oh. Hope nothing bursts...but either way looks like I'm doing showers at the mother in laws for the next three days or so.

franklin NCwx
Tankless hot water heaters really should not be mounted outside. Usually no pipes inside them are insulated.yeah that makes no sense. When I bought mine they asked me if I wanted indoor or outdoor. I was shocked they asked this, then I asked why anyone would mount a water heater unit outside? Amos83
Thankfully no pipes or anything have frozen yet. Thanks Burns and others for the advice the other day on preparing for this. However I didn't consider the garage door! Tried to open it this morning and it was "frozen" solid, couldn't get it to flex so it wont bend as the motor tries to pull it up. Bad part is it doesn't get any direct sunlight so I guess I'll have to wait it out.... oh well.

This is the first time it's ever froze in the 10 years I had it, 15 mins with hair dryer did the trick, much prefer outside, if there is a ever a leak it doesn't destroy your house. Actually after I posted about mine I had ran a hair dryer on the inside for about 20 minutes again before I posted. I had given up on it but when I went down stairs my hot water was running! Thankfully I had forgotten to turn off the spigot on the sink. Had I not had that on I would have never known the hair dryer worked.
burgertime
Tankless hot water heaters really should not be mounted outside. Usually no pipes inside them are insulated. Mine like I said has insulation along the lines, what appears to be heating tape around the insulation and a heating line running long the pipes (ones I could see anyways). Clearly all of that didn't matter which is good to know. It's also good to know about 20 minutes of a hair dryer does the trick.

buckeyefan1
Will the bubble thing still work tonight? I'm not sure where you are located, but it should work most of the day and tonight. Temps in the mid teens and below work best because the freeze is quick. As the temp rises it takes longer for them to freeze
