Pssht temps will be a disaster. And the fact that we are always warmer than the surrounding areas. February when we changed over to snow, surrounding areas already had accumulating snow and Baxley GA had 5 inches and the precipitation was ending.

Man, we ain't worried about Waycross anymore, the W Carolina's are back in the game, barely, but getting there! Someone posted we had to worry about temps up here and need precip to slow down to let cold get here , wth

Good thing Bsud isn't here anymore, he'd be begging for the upstate to get in on this.  I've accepted the fact that Ne Ga and NW SC are screwed on this one. Hopefully our peeps in lower Ga and SC can get some snow. Columbia is still way ahead of the mountains of SC in terms of snowfall over the last couple of years and looks to build a bigger gap after this week. Good luck Buckeye, hope you get another 8"!! :snowwindow:

Agreed!  I remember seeing 5 consecutive posts by mets last night, thats just awesome!   And that is on top of the great analysis from Bruger, Buddy, Bing, and everyone else who chipped in.  Thanks guys!

Thanks! I love these type of systems. The rollercoaster ride is almost as fun as cashing in on the snow. Can't wait for the GFS and Euro today.

Thanks oconee     It was the only time in the decade I've been here at amwx, that I got to say I got 8"    It will be tough to beat...lol.   It only took around .40 to get me there with 20:1 ratio's, so anything that falls iyby will be nice and fluffy   :snowing:

NAM is good for us. It's that dang GFS and them SREF that's showing them warm surface temps. On the GFS I'm on the 33/32 line almost all day on Wednesday.

maybe it is wishcasting but i feel the heavy precip rates can help us overcome the warn boundary layer temps.  youd think id be excited but good god i just have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach about the temps.

I'm with you. i'm hanging my hat on the 0Z Euro and now 12Z Canadian, which seem to be colder with less inland precip. HPC this morning favored those two over the NAM/GFS in its discussion.

IF temps cooperate this will be a once in a lifetime storm, the qpf totals the models are spitting out are just insane.  heaviest snow in chs was back in 89 with 7" and back in jan 1800 with 7".
