I do not like the freaking NAM,

I do not like it Sam I am.

It often shows snow to our knees,

that quickly turns to sun and breeze.

It teases us and shows a storm,

that passes far beyond the norm.

And just as all the Weenies roar,

the damn thing just ain't there no more.

I do not like it Sam I am,

I do not like the freaking NAM.

According to Meteostar, I will not get another drop of rain or a flake of snow until February... Can't see that happening.

Me neither  :(

How do mets take the GFS seriously in the long range with the way it has been all over the place from run to run?

If it only ran twice a day like the Euro then the flip-flopping would be cut in half. Once it goes past truncation it should use an ensemble blend to smooth it out a bit. Just my 2 cents.

From Mike Dross at Wright-Weather

#GFS to double the horizontal resolution to ~13KM this summer. Upgrades to 4D-Var next winter. Catching up to ECMWF. #NCEP

The effect remains to be seen.  For instance, a whole lot of TV actors and news anchors ended up looking a whole lot worse when viewed in HD. :)

I think the next two weeks are going to be our last chance for snow this winter in central NC. February isn't like it used to be.

:weep:

Come on... some of the best snows in NC history has been Jan, Feb, Mar.

NC is included on a DT "first guess" map!!!!!! Book it.

Lol I can tell you're exicted. But I'll take that too. 2-4 here with 1-3 extending in Raleigh.

But you really know a snowstorm is coming when widreman starts mentioning the nam.

BTW I didn't even put no emo-cons in my reply and I got an error message from all of yours.
