LES has pushed into Kankakee County. Maybe a little consolation snow for vortex.

Latest IKK P&C has a chance of flurries.

Today: A chance of flurries before 8am, then a chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 21. North northeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

 I'm out on the far north side of West Laf now. Looks like indeed a little over 3 inches on the south side from other cocorahs reports.

Nice. I'm sure they'll be a time when it's ripping snow at your place while it's pelting away here. :D Certainly has happened before.

hoping I can go a couple hrs longer here to the east.

yeah....if captain plume sets up just offshore of the metro on it's trek to affect Indiana...you could be feeling some nice effects for awhile there on the immediate shoreline (perhaps a little lost on consistency...but still "vulnerable")

It is like the tundra out there this morning, blowing snow, deep drifts...and of course....STILL snowing!

Storm totals....

Wyandotte.....

12/31: 1.7"

01/01: 6.9"

01/02: 1.9" through 8am

SO.....

35-hour total: 9.1"

54-hour total: 10.5"

Current depth: 8" on average, varies from 6-10"

DTW airport

12/31: 1.5"

01/01: 6.4"

01/02: 1.9" though 7am

SO.......

35-hour total: 8.6"

54-hour total: 9.8"

Current depth: 8"

Note.....on the PNS report from DTX, a spotter in Riverview reported a 40-hour total of 9.5", which matches me (9.1") almost perfectly. Riverview borders Wyandotte.
