Boogieman
As the wife calls them, "fine particulates" are still coming down pretty well, but it looks like the north edge of the snow is quickly disintegrating in these parts for now.
Hoar_Frost
I think that, if a little lake-effect can sneak into eastern Kane County later on and tomorrow, my call of a 9.2" total should be good.
AppsRunner
Took measurements at our accounts at first solar in perrysburg and promedica in oregon. Both had a mean of 4.2". Ripping here now. Been several events the last several of years that hit the eastern part of Kane county. 1/8/10 for example where I picked up 1.1" in 20 mins from a LES band. I'm only a mile or two from the DuPage county line.

Gilbertfly
sorry guys, I was low on cash after the holidays so Stebo hooked me up with a job at ORD lol my advisory just got extended to 6am...kinda figured that...but it has my snowfall totals in the 2 to 5 inch range...which will likely be quite low for me...especially if I get grazed a few times by any LE...which IMO, I give a 90% chance of happening at my local...prolly good for another inch or 2 here
DAFF
2" of snow OTG on the back porch since my nap. Approaching the height of the snow shovel blade now. Mr. loader will be getting a work out tonight, some many locations not even touched because of the holiday today. I see a new vessel in my near future....... I'm only a mile or two from the DuPage county line. I'm about three miles from the county line. And, yes, it certainly does happen here; I do remember the 8 January 2010 event. There was a substantial period of LES before the main snows during the GHD event, and I witnessed that as far west as DeKalb. I'd say that measurable LES happens once a year here, on average. Gilbertfly
23Z RAP would lead me to believe that some more counties in LOT may need to be added to the LE tomorrow...but I suppose there is plenty of time to see how things set up
