michsnowfreak
One of the worst calls by Dtx for MBY in recent memory... Usually their conservatism ends up doing well but as of yesterday after they had me down for 1-2" event total. Closing in on 5" now Same story south of Detroit. Dec 14th they called for 3-5" the day before, 4-6" as the storm started, and we ended up with 6-10" downriver to Monroe. Same story here...they called for total snowfall from last night through Thursday morning of 4-6". Well...4-5" has fallen with about 18-20 more hours of snow to go. The heavier bands havent made it as far east as macomb most of the day. Oakland county on west does seem to be doing a lot better than forecasted.. Gilbertfly
Also DuPage will need LE headlines I have done decently with the LE as well in extreme northern Will County in the past...not warning worthy....but maybe keep the WWA going through tomorrow AM depending on how things set up

Chargers09
Close to 5 inches here in Livonia. Matches well with the trends around the metro area. Definitely could see another 2-4 inches before all is said and done according to radar. Bust by DTX.

Geos
Isolated 18" amounts not out of the question. Impressive Possible. If I get 6" from pure LES, that would put me near 17" in the end. Haha, like your avatar.

cyclone77
Pure rippage again here. If it could just last another few hrs we would easily break the 6" threshold, but the back edge is approaching. It's been a fun event though, and makes up for being narrowly missed last night. EDIT: Measured for the first time, 3.6".
Boogieman
4.0" reported in Novi an hour ago...apparently a sharp cutoff in the northern burbs Definitely a sharp cutoff. I have just about an inch where I shoveled yesterday afternoon. I see DTX left Genesee county out of it's advisorys. Point forecast calls for an inch tonight and again Thursday. I didn't get to bed until around 8AM (we were playing Wii and watched movies all night, while sipping Coronas) and I got up around 2PM. It was -SN when I went to bed and still going when I got up. Edit to continue my thought... still feeling those Coronas! I have a feeling DTX is going to bust low with 2" total for KFNT. It appears the edge of main shield of SN almost wants to start going back northward over southern MI. We'll have to see, but I wouldn't be surprised to pick up around 4" here when all is said and done.
