bkviking
Coating here in Miller Place. Live next to sod farm so look forward to winds and drifts which really is common past decade. From early 80s to mid 90s there were what - about 3-5 blizzard warnings? Now it seems almost every year we get warned.

Wxnyc
Looks like the light coating made roads very slippery , there are numerous accidents in the belt parkway in both direction and in queens. 29 here in Brooklyn, roads need to be treated some light freezing drizzle and snow can make roads worse then a few inches of snow. NorthShoreWx
Steady snow here all morning varying in intensity between light and very light. 0.5" so far. Temp has been steady between 26 and 27 for hours. I'll have LE as soon as it melts in the cylinder, but suspect relatively poor ratios so far. NorthShoreWx
I expected some snizzly snow this morning with sound enhancement (which I believe is part of the mix), but this morning is actually a bit more entertaining than I was expecting. We had a slightly heavier burst of snow for a few minutes that coincided with some higher wind gusts and got a little sneak preview of what is to come. Viz dropped quickly with lots of snow blowing off of roofs. If this persists, we'll get a couple of inches before the main event.
