wxdude64
I guess it is better than flooding on the cruise ship Agree, but that will take any enjoyment they had from cruise right down to zero when they find out.
wxdude64
Bob just mentioned the words "molten rock". I guess we should just move on to severe. Yeah, I was just reading. If I didn't know better, just from reading the descriptions they were using would seem to indicate volcanic activity upcoming.

snowfan
So.....if I'm heading out to Blackwater State Park one Saturday morning and am picking someone up in DC on the way, is Corridor H the fastest route? I used to travel 70W to 68W to 219S, but that seems unnecessary if I'm going to be in town already. Probably 2.5-3 hours for weekend morning traffic? needbiggerboat
I guess it is better than flooding on the cruise ship Little does the homeowner know that after spending the whole cruise trying to lay some pipe, he's going to have someone come out to his house to lay some more. chris21
Hey snowfan, I lived out I'm west va the past year( Pocahontas county)and would recommend taking 66 west to 81 south then getting on fifty five all the way to davis

Yes take 66W to 81S to Exit 296 for US 48/VA 55 West towards Wardensville. Watch your speed in Wardensville, as you come down the mountain the speed limit drops to 35 then 25 and they are there waiting for you Once you past Wardensville, US 48 opens up to a 4 lane highway with some amazing views. It is now open to the top of the front range past Scherr. Climb up the front range and by the time you reach the giant wind turbines, the 4 lane highway will end and then have to get on 2 lane WV 93 towards Davis, WV. Then down Rt 32 to Blackwater Falls SP. It is a gorgeous drive from Wardensville to the top of the Allegheny Front where the wind turbines are located. Here are some pics from Dec 2012 when I went to snowshoe This is the exit off I 81 you want Ahead another few miles US 48 , the 4 lane part wasnt finished yet, so we had to get off at Scherr. But with it open all the way to the top, you wont have to take 42 up the windy switchbacks up the mountain now. This is much safer. Enjoy.
snowfan
Thanks for the info guys. Appreciate it. Was I somewhat correct in my 2.5-3 hour estimate? Assuming there are no major traffic issues, of course.
