I had no mom or dad.  i was raised by possums and ate out of trashcans

What do you mean ate

You guys have to watch this classic British comedy sketch,"Four Yorkshiremen" (has two future members of Monty Python and Marty Feldman):

"You were lucky. We lived for three months in a paper bag in a septic tank. We used to have to get up at six in the morning, clean the paper bag, eat a crust of stale bread, go to work down t' mill, fourteen hours a day, week-in week-out, for sixpence a week, and when we got home our Dad would thrash us to sleep wi' his belt."

My first job at 16 was as a busboy at a joint called Chesapeake Bay Seafood house....$3.10 per hour, with the fringe bene of all the hush puppies and fries I could eat.

I earned every cent of that $3.10....lots of slop to clear off tables at an all you can eat seafood place.

Oh, my.  Featherstone Plaza in Woodbridge?  I used to love that place.

I used to take those firecrackers, empty the powder and make giant bottle rockets.  Hard to believe I didn't blow my head off in the process.

When you take the innards from many M80's smuggled up from South Carolina and pack them in a tightly wrapped cardboard box, it's pretty amazing how many concerned parents come running out of various neighborhood houses when it goes boom.  And that none of us 10 year-olds lost our hands.

I used to go there with my sister and her kids. I always wondered what happened to Chesapeake Bay Seafood house cause the franchise seemed to disappear but always had tons of people at it whenever I went.  Maybe needbiggerboat ate too many freebie hushpuppies and fries while sneaking those Crab legs.

Never sneaked the crab legs, but ended up smelling like a combo of steamed shrimp, crab, and frog legs at the end of each shift.  It's tough to find frog legs anywhere these days, let alone all-you-can-eat.

I see frog legs down at one of the places we eat around Okeechobee.  haven't seen any around here in awhile.  My mom was from Louisiana where I guess they were common when she was growing up as she really like them.

We had one on rockville pike. I could destroy crab legs for hours as a teen. My mom used to bring an oversized purse and zip locks bags...

Did someone say Chesapeake Bay Seafood House?  I waited tables there for over 12 years in the one at Greenbelt and Burtonsville, and even a few shifts in Rockville when they were short-handed.  If you could handle that place on busy Friday or Saturday night, you can handle anything.

lol

My clothes would reek from that place, and the worst was if you took a couple of days off and your shoes finally dried out, they'd curl up like elf shoes.
