The worst part is the snow crew pretending they enjoy their snow less because of DC's bad luck. Not looking for arguments but that sounds really silly. If I were in your shoes DC would be the last thing Id care about.

Did Ian just fire on Fort Sumter?

No. There needn't be any animosity anywhere but snow is IMBY. If I was getting dumped on and Richmond wasn't I wouldn't give half a crap. I used to make fun of DC with the best of them when I lived in CT.

I just wish they'd stop pretending to mope around for the week leading up to the storm saying how they'll "be happy with their dusting on the fringes" when in 95% of storms they bullseye.

We've had an extra crappy stretch down here of course but it's not like DC was a big snow town prior to that. DC getting like 1/10th of places 100 miles away is nothing new.  It sucked then.. it'll suck until we don't get snow anymore.. which might be by 2020 at this rate. But, we do friggen crush at heat so nananananananaaa.

I wasn't expecting as much as I've gotten, just sayin. I was happy with only getting 2"

You must have almost 6" by now, i am not going to lie i am a bit jealous.

Not quite, I'll measure later. Got mom duties to take care of ;)

The only thing that kills me are the tiny but massive impact micro-climates that show up around DC and points south and east right along the river. It is truly stunning how much a difference it makes

It is pretty insane. Partly why I like DCA. That microclimate zone is real. The differences across the city in elevation etc are often bigger than you'd think.
