If I'm reading this right, looks like we dipped below 0 in the past hour at KFRG (Farmingdale Republic Airport) on LI.  As of the last update at 6:53 AM, the 6 hour low was-1.  The actual low at the hourly intervals had gotten down to 1 by 5:53 and at 6:53 was again 1, but the 6 hour update at 6:53 showed a high of 7 and low of -1 over the past six hours.  http://w1.weather.gov/obhistory/KFRG.html.

 

That works for me.  Anyone know of a way to get daily history from KFRG or another such site?

 

Edit:  Sorry, missed bluewave's post on the same.  Still, if anyone knows off hand where I could go to see when KFRG was last below zero would appreciate it.  Thanks.

Long Island official lows:

 

ISP 0

FRG -1

FOK -13

BNL -5

Wow...impressive...though I actually have -4 F for OKX...perhaps they are still taking measurements at 2 different spots...the actual Lab and also the weather office?

This -1 low may be the coldest at Farmingdale since the 1980's. I was able to find two lows in January 2004

of +1 and a 0 degree reading in January 1994.

Now one of the links says the readings were valid as of 7 AM and other at 6 AM...if it was taken at 6 AM...then it might be the same thermometer.

It looks like FOK came  very close to January 2009 with a low today of -13 vs -14.
