Actual Temp on the highest point east of the mississippi is -15* on Mt Mitchell with Lt Snow and winds gusting to 55mph :o

 

Here was just outside with my 2 huskies and enjoyed it for 10 mins, then it was time to head back in.

7* now wind chill -10* highest gust here so far has been 41 mph

 

My two huskies coming up onto the deck few mins ago

There is nothing better than a good long jebwalk in very cold weather, except a jebwalk taken outside in extremely heavy snow in northeasterly winds gusting to 35 mph with huge snowflakes blowing past the streetlights.

 

Dewpoint is -7, just like last early February

Our snow cover held on here, Jeb. It's not deep but it's fit for your type of walking. Frozen solid.

That site he shared via twitter must be calculating WC via the old calculation. Based on the current formula, that combination of air temp and wind speed gets you a wind chill warmer than -100. 

Per WxBrad Grandfather Mtn in NC just recorded a windchill of -103.1
