weathafella
Presuming this works out as modeled by gfs and euro now, a big time re-assertion of euro superiority from pretty long range with not much wavering.

PWMan
Saw it crumbling at 00z. No surprise. Yep. Definitely takes some of the fun out of the current storm, knowing that much of this will be gone very quickly and that we'll go from -10 to huge slush puddles within 48 hours. We'll fare better than SNE, but it's still a shame.

Damage In Tolland
After this storm we may be done with snow till after the 20th. Awful for what was shaping up to be a great month..By then the usual suspects will be bringing up sun angle
weathafella
How's that snowpack look? It will be fine. I would rather it melt but I don't think the euro cutter will kill it due to short duration and 0.75+ qpf in this event. But as stated, let's melt it and build it back and that would be ok too. weathafella
We'll have multiple snow chances beyond 1/8 up to the January thaw around 1/15. That's my call.
tamarack
Look on the bright side, you'll have some sunny and cool weather once it passes to refreeze the slush puddles. And fills the ditches and culverts with ice. That often leads to a real mess for March/April in NNE.

My money is on those verifying rather than the GFS.
Clinch Leatherwood
The euro and it's ensemble mean have been very consistent in this system. My money is on those verifying rather than the GFS. They were consistent on this one being mainly nothing to right home about. Euro and it's ensembles are mortal this year and have been badly wrong several times.
