rduwx
18z gfs comes in further south and east but also appears to be a little quicker so no cold air. Terrible timing.

griteater
There's no cold air out front, so the diving northern stream would have to dig hard to the south and close off

superjames1992
We toss? I don't know about toss, but it's another possible solution. I'm not sure anyone really knows what this is going to do at this point. This run was a total screwjob for the Mid-Atlantic, too. Way to go Brick Let's not attack the OP as if he has any effect on what the models are showing...
Met1985
wow did not expect that. Thought it would be a better run for us western guys. I would not worry about the mountains. I think we will do more than fine with the upslope event that will take place behind the front.

superjames1992
Sarcasm much? Sarcasm is hard to detect over the internet. A smiley helps. Anyways, the 18z GEFS mean looks more interesting than the operational GFS.

superjames1992
pics? I've just got the free maps from Tropical Tidbits. I don't really know what the individual members are showing, so it may actually be worse/better than the mean suggests. Hr 60 does show the OV low to some degree, though, but at 66 it's nearly gone. Pilotwx
Just ignore the off runs 6z 18z . With in 48hrs they can help but at that point the NAM takes over
NCSNOW
Nice banana shaped HP's, just like euro was showing Sunday. Only problem is they where a tad bit stronger and the junk over the ov screws up the potential cold air transport. TropoFold
The cold is not going to get in before the moisture. Not liking the dry slot on the lee side. Will still produce for the mountains even south of VA into NC with accumulating snowfall.
