snow.
Yea, not bad. It's a mathematical mess in modeland. Where we are in 2 days could be bad but not tonight If I can squeeze 1-2" out of this somehow, I don't really care how I got there...they are just models...the pattern and analogs screamed a small event or no event
ravensrule
same Thanks, according to Will this seems like the most likely solution in this fast flow anyway. So i guess i wil hope for 4" and be very happy with it especially if it gets really cold after and stays around for a few days.
Bob Chill
it is a 2-4" snowstorm for most of DC Metro We get saved by the low off the sc coast. Consolidates everything in time to give us some cold snow as it trackes off obx. What a mess.

I dont think there is any model that gives you 4"...not saying you cant get it..you are in a better spot than many...but no model gives you that

If i nickle and dime my way to 24" this winter i would be thrilled.

If i nickle and dime my way to 24" this winter i would be thrilled. actually the euro might be in the higher of the 2-4" range for you....Plus I can understand your threshold is higher...2" is a big event for me...I don't really care how I got there...modeled snow doesnt mean anything...of course this could still be a complete whiff...would like to see some flakes though

You would be so much happier. I think i average almost twice as much as you a winter. Plus you have the benefit of starting to root for the Ravens. Bob Chill
ratios please Hard to say. Surface temp drops to upper 20's to 31'ish as best rates come through. 850s are -3 to -5. Maybe 12:1 best case. It's complicated in many ways.

For all the hours you guys spend looking at models it would stil be less than .10" per hour.
