AppsRunner
I have seen it often with an "over-correction" to the north 48 to 72 hours and a slight drift south within 36 hours...hopefully this is the case with this system for selfish reasons... another trend has been the lowering of QPF's, as has been mentioned by Dustin and Alek, as we get within 36 hours... interesting trends to watch Yeah I remember the end of last year watching a couple storms slowly drift away south into oblivion for me. I'm not sold on a correction back to the south but I think MKE/GRR/DTW should be in very good shape regardless
A-L-E-K
If Madison ends up ground zero. Multiple meltdowns will occur doubtful, would suck but there aren't many meltdown candidates.
snowstormcanuck
E-W orientation of snow shield and movement of slp is reminiscent of a bowling ball type system. Definitely doesn't bowl across the country at H5 but, like most of these terms, there is no standardized definition/criteria. In the interest of comity though, I shall change the title. Roger Smith
I came up with "frisbee low" thinking it sort of looks like a frisbee soaring along but rather easily deflected by any slight air current ... you guys added the lunar part but it is new moon on January 1st (at perigee no less).
