packbacker
Nice banana high, crazy IP/SN for central NC, should come up the coast, sub-1000 SLP right off ILM. I know this will never verify, but at least we get to dream of a textbook coastal for us.

rduwx
What stopped it from cutting? It looked as if it had a neutral tilt back in Tx. and just stayed that way until it cut off in Alabama. Like packbacker I thought for sure it was going to cut up the apps.
packbacker
So in defense of this model run, we are finally getting some blocking, not sure this qualifies as a traditional -NAO/-AO but you can see the blocking coming down from the pole, that helps keep the HP locked in place which help suppresses the storm, that isn't there than the HP slides off the coast, the low cuts and we are 60F and rain. Both Euro ENS and GFS/GEFS agree this occurs. We just need the storm and a whole lot of luck. Still think this trends back to a miller B though.
