CoastalWx
why? I have not seen that as a flag from any met here other than Forky, that does not man I can see the heaviest axis move NNE, but i will still take 6-10" When we all say the track is not set in stone and an offshore track is pretty much off the table..I think it hints at a potential north trend. However, it can only go so far. You really can't say too much 4-5 days out.

CoastalWx
what will determine the northern extent? edit: or inhibit? Inhibit? Well the flow speed and PV shouldn't allow it to cut inland. It could certainly track closer, but the temp profile won't change much where you are. Arcitc air is locked in for the interior.

Not gonna happen and Forky knows this.i never said it's going to plow into new england. but it could come further north and bring sleet/dry slot concerns with it. i hate the disorganized look on the euro

CoastalWx
Similar track but better concentration of energy. Yes, this was my argument with the euro op. Forky sounded like he agreed too. But, we are still 4 days or so out so things can change.
Bostonseminole
eastern areas jackpot it seems, 8-10" plus with temps in the 10-15F range should be good ratios I would guess.

It's all overrunning
CoastalWx
But he was talking about SLP which in this case doesn't matter. It's all overrunning It does matter. Overrunning starts out here and moves north, while the good CCB tries to crank into SNE. You don't want a weird looking low like the euro..especially at your latitude.
