dendrite
That is one hell of a sfc boundary as depicted. Below zero in S NH and snowing with 32F around PVD-GHG.

weathafella
That snow as the system pulls away could add up. Friday is another pretty snowy day on guidance including the euro.

ROOSTA
Christmas Eve I was talking to my nephew about the "possibility" of a snowstorm a few days after the New Year. I'm getting the feeling that this threat has a penchant to be suppressed although I liked the signal from the get--go and the current model run has me giddy. Just have to get the obligatory doubt stated. Other than that: GAME-ON
CoastalWx
That snow as the system pulls away could add up. Friday is another pretty snowy day on guidance including the euro. It is. I want to see the low develop and organize better on Thursday.
40/70 Benchmark
988 system passing just inside the bm. Between bm and ack. Perfect track. I don't care what the RH fields say, I'll take my chances with this over the GFS. Sign me up for that temp gradient.
weathafella
The biggest burst for sne is Thursday afternoon.
40/70 Benchmark
It is. I want to see the low develop and organize better on Thursday. Seems as though the "dry slotting" has more to do with the retardation of the system's development, than the track. I'll take my chances with a late-bloomer. weathafella
Well there is consistent guidance for a decent event 1/2-3. Little nuances in the next few days will determine major vs middling. It looks apparent that all of New England has fresh snow by sunset Friday.
40/70 Benchmark
That temp gradient will produce some fun. Exactly. I'd love to lock this in, as opposed to that relatively mundane GFS run.

What I love is the great baroclinicity and the Atlantic inflow getting going over this arctic dome....that will produce.
