snow.
Can you explain that please. I don't understand there is a primary low that occludes, and secondary forms off coast and takes over...though looking at the maps again, this is def hybrid... mitchnick
sure, tho it already has me at 3.5" by 96 which is just.. well, wrong. ecmwf_tsnow_washdc_19 (1).png if I get half of that, I'll be a happy camper
Ian
so close on the euro...far NW burbs get annihilated yeah, we're kind of in a drier area overall for some reason. probably not worth parsing.. classic bringing us back into the game around day 3-4... will tonight or tomorrow take it away? Ian
although if we do have fresh snow the outer burbs could perhaps go toward 0. that's not totally unheard of out there. if DC gets 0 or below I'll leave the board forever.
Bob Chill
big inland runner with a touch of backlash and historic cold on the heels. Inland runner is possible. So is no storm at all. Or another jump off obx...

WxMan1
I noticed last night that the 00Z operational EC had trended south with the southern stream trough from the 12Z run, while the 06Z GFS did the same from it's previous run. Not quite to the degree of the UK, but it was hard to ignore the trend... That being said, let's hope we're getting close enough to where the trend doesn't keep going, or else the southern stream vort and pcpn axis ends up going to our south. We've seen that before, especially with Miller Bs, where the northern stream confluence zone keeps digging south.
MDstorm
Models seem to have focused on developing a storm too far north along the arctic front. Now the development is more along the baroclinic zone. Bingo...bango....... MDstorm
